Learn how to perform a factory reset for Samsung displays!

Sometimes when your Samsung Signage Display is not functioning properly, a factory reset can solve the problem.

 

For this, you will need a remote.

  • Turn the display on.
  • Switch to HDMI/Display Port video source.
  • Turn off the display, wait until the RED IR light starts to glow.
  • Using IR Remote control press this sequence: MUTE – 1 – 8 – 2 – POWER ON.

The sequence is very important, you might have to try it a few times before being succesful!

    • The display will show the Options Menu, press: OK and select Factory Reset
    • The display boots into the Factory/service menu.
    • After 1 or 2 minutes, you can turn on the display again.

After you have performed the factory reset, you will have to configure the display again with the configuration manual.
