How to configure a Samsung Tizen 6.5 Screen for digital signage use
(Samsung QBB / QMB series)
1: Connecting the monitor
Connect the monitor to network and power. Set the on / off switch on the back of the screen to on. Switch on the screen with a remote control
2: Set up
When the monitor is switched on for the first time, you will be automatically guided through a settings menu.
- Select the desired language (English)
2. Choose network, cable or wireless
3: Skip
4: Choose ( Basic Setup)
5: Choose landscape or portrait (Landscape)
6: Auto power off
7: Choose Custom App
A keyboard appears where you have to enter the URL.
This is:
http://connect-sssp.cms-ds.com/tizen
8: Connect to RM Server ( skip)
9: Set the date and time
Alternatively you can use the network
NTP (Network Time Protocol) provides accurate and syncronised time across the Internet
Using the remote got to:
Menu > System >Time > NTP settings
Select: Use
Server URL: type pool.ntp.org or time.google.com
Time zone: choose your local timezone
Click op save
10: Set Pin. skip
11: You are done with the setup. Select ok. You will now be taken to the menu below, or on the remote control press the Home button and then on the Custom App screen.
The screen will download the Tizen app and then make a connection with the Signage server.
If the screen is not yet registered, the easyscreen.tv start screen appears. You can now see your hardware in your narrowcasting account and create fragments from there.
