In this tutorial will be explained what the main differences are between a mainuser and subuser.
To answer this question, it is important to understand who is going to use the software and if there should be people with restrictions to use the narrowcasting software. For example: Does the head office use the software alone? Or do people on other locations also use the software?
Once you buy our software you always will have an mainuser. This is the main and head account and belongs to the person who is the responsible person for the content on the screen.
If you want other persons to login with their own user so they have their own rights. You can make a sub-user under your mainuser account. This user will have less rights and will not have the possibility to make an account for other persons, only the Main-user can do this. But if the company is small and you want all the users to have the same rights. It is better to use the same mainuser, simply share the login steps.
How to decide if we want to make a subuser?
Do you want to edit the same playlists and doesn't it matter that the other user also has full access? Just share the username and password of the mainuser with your colleague.
Do you want the other user to have restrictions? Like only access to a specific player instead of all players. Then we advise to make a subuser and set up the rights how you want them.
