Override a playlist

You can give priority to specific playlists to show only this playlist! Learn how to do this in the CMS.

The override functionality allows a playlist to take priority over all other content on a specific media player or multiple media players for a set period. Follow the steps below to activate this feature.

Step 1: Create a Playlist

Before you can use the override functionality, ensure you have a playlist ready. If you need help creating one, please refer to this guide on creating a playlist.

Step 2: Access the Override Option

  1. Navigate to the Playlist page.
  2. Locate the playlist you wish to use for overriding other content.

Step 3: Activate the Override

  1. On the Playlist page, you will see a checkbox labeled for override functionality.
  2. To activate the override, select this checkbox. Once selected, this playlist will take precedence over all other playlists scheduled for the same period.
  3. Synchronize your hardware to activate the change immediately; without manual synchronization, the change will be activated during the night.

Step 4: Deactivate the Override (Optional)

If you wish to stop the override and return to the regular content schedule:

  1. Simply deselect the checkbox.
  2. Synchronize your hardware. This will deactivate the override, and the usual content will resume as scheduled.

By following these steps, you can easily control which content is prioritized on your media players using the override functionality.
